Job Accountabilities

  • Coordinate between Site Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation Heads to ensure smooth functioning of maintenance work
  • Ensure improvement in availability of equipment and reduction in maintenance costs
  • Resolve M/E/I inter-disciplinary issues as escalated.
  • Drive Maintenance initiatives and set annual targets for Maintenance.
  • Support all reliability & Integrity studies by adding value
  • Ensure statutory and regulatory compliance from maintenance side.
  • Ensure compliance to standards, procedures and best practices
  • Provide oversight to Repair & Refurbishment
  • Responsible for Turnaround and shutdown coordination and execution within schedule
  • Liaise with heads of CoE to enable quick incorporation of recommendations and escalation of issues
  • Ensure execution, compliance to schedules, system implementation
  • Coordinate & steer inter plant / Intersite maintenance audits
  • Coordinate with contracts & Procurement groups for site related matters
  • Monitor Maintenance cost and budgeting of the site
  • Responsible for overall Performance monitoring and reporting
  • Oversee Obsolescence management and Knowledge management
  • Identify training needs of Leads and Managers and facilitate trainings for the same
  • Career planning & performance appraisal of his reportees.
  • Review and approval of Material / Service PRs.
  • Ensure HSE compliance (RESOP, DOSHE, CASHe, HSEF mandatory trainings)
  • Timely adherence to audit schedules
  • Ensure Harmonization of standards for equipment from different vendors and product groups

Job Description:

    The primary responsibility of this role is to design and develop Wright Line Lab/Office furniture to meet customer specific technical, cost and market related technology requirement of B Line Business.
  2. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (Limit yourself to 8-12 statements)
    • Support  multiple projects/programs/teams related to  new product development (NPD), value analysis and value engineering (VAVE) and sustaining engineering  (SE) through the execution of these programs/projects  in a timely manner, supporting the business goals and Profit Plan objectives.

    • Create CAD drawings , 3D models , Assemblies etc and ensure release in PLM  / ERP system per project plan.

    • Create Design verification plan and do design verification testing to ensure Critical To Quality parameters  are validated.
    • Actively participate in  events like solution blitz, design bursts , Innovation summit , product brainstorming etc and drive the solution to implementation.
    • Work cross-functionally with other functions at global level. This requires the incumbent to have ambition, drive, enthusiasm, communication , articulation and presentation skills and strong practical engineering experience to compliment his/her technical ability.
    • Resolve technical issues and road blocks impacting assigned projects by taking quick and timely decisions which are well supported by basic design calculations , engineering analysis and prediction methodology.
    • Adhere to design standards and procedures governing product design methods, documents and data control for Electrical business.
    • Actively participate project / program / Design / Drawing  reviews and technical reviews and ensure the quality design output for all the projects in the team.

  3. Basic Qualifications (Including Educational Requirements)
    Experience: 1-3 years EDUCATION:

    Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.


    • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering with 1-3 years of experience.
    • Experience of working on CAD tools like Auto CAD or Solid works is a must. Experience of working on  PLM like SAP or Enovia etc would be preferred.
    • Demonstrated capability in design of Sheet metal and Plastic Components / Parts / Assemblies. Candidates with experience of working on Office / Lab furniture design / layouts , data center racks and cable management systems etc will be preferred.
    • Strong Communication, presentation and articulation skills is a must.
    • Sound knowledge of design documents, tools and processes like DFMEA, P diagram, VOC, design reviews , GD&T, Tolerance Stack up analysis etc would be added advantage.
